Trading Card Holder Guide: Original vs SLAB

Compare The Original Cardmate and the Cardmate SLAB Holder to choose a custom trading card display frame for your card. Check holder fit, frame dimensions and what is included before designing.

The Original Cardmate: for cards in a 35pt One-Touch holder

Choose The Original Cardmate for a standard trading card in a 35pt magnetic One-Touch holder. This holder format is designed for cards measuring 2½″ × 3½″ (63.5 × 88.9 mm) with normal base thickness.

  • Frame dimensions: 14 cm wide × 17 cm high × 1.5 cm deep.
  • Custom Cardmate feet are included.
  • Add your artwork, name or logo and preview your design before ordering.

If you have a thicker card or a different protective holder, check the fit with us before ordering.

Cardmate SLAB Holder: for PSA and Beckett slabs

Choose the Cardmate SLAB Holder for a graded card. It fits all PSA and Beckett slabs, plus slabs from other grading companies with the same dimensions.

  • Frame dimensions: 14.5 cm wide × 20.5 cm high × 2.8 cm thick.
  • Customise the artwork around your slab and preview your design.
  • For another grading company, compare the slab dimensions with a PSA or Beckett slab, or ask us for help.

Frame measurements describe the outside of the display, not the card or slab opening. See each product page for its listed inclusions, or contact us if you need a specific accessory.

Personalised orders and returns

Made to your design: no change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Each personalised holder is made using the artwork and details you submit and cannot be put back on the shelf or resold. Please check your artwork, spelling, layout, frame choice and card fit carefully before ordering.

If we make your holder correctly to your approved design and specifications, customer-supplied artwork or design errors do not qualify for a return or refund. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not match your approved order, or any rights under Australian Consumer Law. See our Return and Refund Policy.

How to create your display

  1. Choose the holder that fits your card.
  2. Select Customise on its product page.
  3. Add artwork or text you own or have permission to use.
  4. Review the placement, size and spelling in your preview, then add your design to your cart.

Dispatch and delivery

Frames ship within 7 working days. Delivery time is additional. Enter your delivery address at checkout to see available shipping services and charges.
